Trans-Siberian Hi way

I just thought I would post an update of the Trans Siberian hi way as when I looked I couldn’t find the information I'm about to post.
As of September 2010
I can tell you that from Ulan-Ude to Vladivostok it is now all paved with the exception if a 10km stretch which as I type is being worked on. There is never more than 150kms without fuel and probably less than that. It is 661 kms from Ulan-Ude to Chita and then 2165kms of glorious pristine smooth paved road so new there are no white lines or Armco and not a single police check and I only saw one police car all the way to Khabarovsk. If ever there was a road for hi speed motorcycling in Russia this is the one. And finally 764kms of not so pristine but perfectly acceptable road to Vladivostok. The hardest thing is staying awake.
