Sydney to Vladivostok
 

We are planning to ship our bikes (3) from Sydney to Vladivostok. We intend to arrive in Vlad around 20th May 2020 and head West. I will use Yuri in Vlad, because he is the best. Last time we put 8 bikes in a 20' container and the price worked out great. We have room for another 5 bikes. Yuri had them cleared in 3 days. Anyone keen to share our container?

What date (approx) do you think they would they need to go into the container?

Many thanks for your notification. I'm quiet interested in sharing that container should there still be room.
I was initially looking to ship a bike over solo to that same contact from Cairns in April 2020 however this option looks more attractive.
Would be nice to touch base with you by phone to progress this conversation further if that was OK by you?

Looking at doing this one of these days, but taking a car across. What is the cost of the container. Debating if I should ship to South Korea, and then take the ferry, or go direct to Vladi.

Matey, we are planning for the bikes to arrive in Vladivostok around the 15th May 2020. It is around 28-30 days shipping time. If we can get 8 bikes to fill a 20' container the price should be around $AUD700/bike. Or less. In 2010 we filled the container and I think it's do-able again. I am getting more detailed prices as we speak.:thumbup1:

Do you have a unit cost for a bike for shipment or is it dependent
on the quantity in the container?

G'day Steve, at present it looks like we already have 4 bikes in the container. If we get 5 the cost should be $AUD1,100.(8 bikes brings it down to $AUD700) I am waiting for another firm price. Unfortunately, the guy who handles that Companies Vladivostok freight is away.

Matey, last time we left Vladivostok for Khabarovsk on 3rd June, the weather was great, although the road had been blocked by snow a few days previously.
I'll be in Nepal until 15th December and will try and firm up numbers for the container as soon as I get home.

Hi Chris! I am looking to depart Adelaide about the 20th/21st of May and need my bike shipped too! I've been waiting to hear back from Brent at Bikes Abroad to see what's going on. I was going to call him this afternoon or tomorrow. I also need to sort shipping locally from Vlad to Magadan. Actually... I can leave about the 12th of May, so bike arriving mid-May would be perfect. Then 2weeks to it get to Magadan.
