Russian visa in Central Asia
 

Hi everybody,
Do you think it's a good idea to try to get our Russian visa when we are in central Asia (Tashkent or another capital town)? And how long it takes to get it?
Any experience about it?

Depends on the passport. Some passports (like UK passport) Russians will only accept for visas either in the UK or in the country of your residence if its not the UK. Russian visa offices outside of the UK generally do not entertain UK passports. Travellers usually have to DHL their passports back to the UK to get visas then DHL them back to the stans or Mongolia where they are waiting.

Make totally sure you CAN apply for a Russian visa outside your home country, before you do it.

In general, I would caution AGAINST doing it that way if possible.
