Osh to Tajikistan, Pamir highway
 

Hi, I am in Osh & am planning to head for Sary Tash & the Tajikistan border tomorrow morning, depending on cloud levels I may well detour to Sary Mogul for a look at Pic Lenin. Is anyone else heading that way?

I was at at Pic Lenin two years ago. Fantastic views with clear skies. There are several mountaineering tent camps where you can stay for the night. See the openstreetmap for the exact location of the turnoff and the two or three places where you have to choose between a left and right turn. I marked up openstreetmap from my tracks. From what I remember after you cross the river you keep more or less right and stay on a course parallel to the river for a while before heading for the mountains.
