Kyrgyzstan Border crossings
 

Planning and checking 2017 Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Ride, I could see that there are some UZB territories "inside" of KGZ. Some of them seems that UZB Visa is needed to cross it.
My idea is go out of Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan by Batken-Isfara or Kulundu-Ovchi Kalacha border crossings, not sure if it is posible avoid that Souththern Fergana UZB territories because of the turns that the border line does over the roads.

And ride east of M41 between Shamaldy-Say and Toktogul Lake; there is road around this place -Uzbek "Nanay", between Kyrgyz "Karavan" and "Sugut"-, not sure if some border permit is needed to ride there.

Caravanistan is a good source of up to date info for that region. I have not been through that particular border but you won't need to get through the Uzbek enclaves.

I'm pretty sure some time ago someone posted here complete gps track of the new road going from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan avoiding UZB enclaves..

No problem to drive around it, just follow the locals.

In 2011 I drove from Naryn over the Kazarman Pass and onto the M41, then down to Osh, Batken (nice little place), Isfana (also quite nice) and into Tajikistan at Kulundu / Ovchi-Kalacha. It was a very easy border to cross.

I crossed from Tajikistan at Batken last summer and rode to Osh and no problem with avoiding those enclaves although you could see the wire fence about 500m off the main road. Then from Osh to Kaserman to AkTal and SongKul - lovely roads.

I checked Caravanistan´s info, but I didn´t be sure about that roads.
