Crossing China in sept/oct 2016

Hello,
We are looking for other people to share the drive from Kyrgystan to Laos in september-octobre 2016. Idea is to take 30days but we are flexible and adding a week of two is a possibility. We are a family with 3 (young)kids. I have a few proposals from company's but since it's extremey expensive sharing the drive/the costs would be great...
Anyone interested?
Tine

China

Hi,
I am in contact with tho agencies (navo & chinatours) and have received price proposals for either 23 days or 33 days.
Are you planning the same entry and exit points (kyrgystan-laos)? It would be great to travel with other people with kids!

Hi! Jusalulu,
Im in the planning stage of riding from Europe to Malaysia next year (2016). China is always in my mind but been avoiding it purely becoz of cost factor. Your timing seem right for me to team up to cross China into Laos from Mongolia. Although I have ridden Mongolia before but dont mind doing again. PM me separately at rideabiketravel@gmail.com if you are interested for details.

Cheers

Amzah

Hello Marc,
We are considering changing our plans and crossing China from Mongolia, i feel there are more people taking that route, more chances to find fellow travellers.

CHINA September/October 2016 from Mongolia to Laos

We are also planning to cross China in September/October 2016 from Mongolia to Laos and are looking for fellow travelers to join a group.
We prefer to avoid the Chinese holiday's from 1-7 October, but otherwise flexible.
Already in contact with several agency's but nothing confirmed yet. We travel with a Landrover camper and two people.

Marc, Which agency are you using and have you set a date yet ?

We (2 persons traveling with a Landrover Defender) also have plans to cross China from Mongolia to Laos in September/October 2016. We've got several offers from different tour providers.
Our favourite is Navo's since the route sounds more interesting than the others, it's more focused on the nice Landscapes and they also made a proposal including a visit to the ricefields of Yuanyang. But it's a bit higher in price, for a group consisting of 3 vehicles it would be 69000CNY for 30 days.
We don't have a fixed start date yet, but ideally we plan to leave after the Chinese holidays around 10th of October.
If you are interested in building a group, please get in touch.

Kyrgystan - over China (Kashgar) to Pakistan - 2 days September 2016

Hi!

we are a family with 2 sons and we want to drive from Europe to India.

We want to leave Kyrgystan early Septmber to enter China to get to Pakistan over Karakorum Highway, in order to reach Lahore-Armitsar Indian border.

We would like to share with fellow travellers the cost of crossing China.

Who else is interested in such a common journey?

Cheers,

Michal from Poland

Hi all, we're hoping to go through China from Mongolia to Laos as well (Wanderlust, I've just replied to another thread you're on as well :) It's just my partner and I and we'll be in some sort of vehicle (TBD).

Our contact at Navo (Bing) told us some other travellers were wanting to do this route right after the October holidays, I wonder if this is you! Small world.

We are hoping to go a little later though, probably starting at end of October if possible. Bing suggests we be finished with the China portion before end of November to avoid too cold of weather. Would yall be interested in doing this route a little later?

Feel free to message me or email me - feliceelena at gmail dot com.

Happy travels!

Happy travels!

It's not that cold in Southern China in November or December .China's a big country.Actually it's not that cold in Northern China(Xinjiang) in November 10c-0c depends what time of the month. Probably start to get the first snowfall late in Nov(maybe)Up in the mountains a different matter.
