Crossing Baltic-Russian border
 

Has anyone had any difficulties riding or driving from the Baltics into Russia on/in a foreign vehicle since last February?

I'm specifically asking if there's been a problem importing a vehicle. I walked across from Estonia last year, so there's no visa issue, & I've ridden across several times from Latvia in the past. I plan to ride across again at the start of April, I've just suddenly started worrying about the temporary import doc for the bike. Haven't heard any bad stories yet, just a sudden attack of paranoia.

Koidula and Luhamaa (south of the lake, near Pskov) appear closed to regular cars.

It depends on what passport you have, what your visa status is for Russia, and where the car is registered. But assuming you arrive there with all the correct paperwork, you should get across just fine.
