Good morning all

I am going to non-carnet countries and want to know if while crossing land borders will they want to slam me for taxes and duties etc on my bike and gear>

Korea-Russia
Russia-Mongolia
Mongolia-Russia
Russia-Kazahkstan
Kazahkstan-Kyrgystan
Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan
Tajikistan-Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan
Azerbajain-Georgia
Georgia-Turkey
Turkey-Bugaria

Input from those in the know would be mint thanks

Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan Same like above, the invent road tax ( few Dollars )

I agree with above, but I would like to add that if coming from South Korea by ferry (or from Russia) you could also add Japan to your list, not needing a Carnet but getting temporary import as well. I know it was not your question :P

Good morning

All good info, I have a carnet now, cost was $1450.00 NZD and was advised by the shipper to get, Korea have said they don't require it, none of the other countries as listed require a Carnet as far as I am aware, the AA in NZ have said I can get a refund if I want, or my other choice then is to make use of it and hit Iran as they do require a Carnet.

$1450 is some good travel money if it is not required in a Carnet....

be carefull tadjikistan has no border with Turkménistan , you have to cross Uzbekistan after tadjikistan
