Biofuel in Uzbekistab

Can someone help me with this?
I was planning to take quite a lot of fuel from Turkmenistan into Uzbekistan bearing in mind that Uzbek has gone to biofuel. But now I am told I can put biofuel in the bike, ideally mixing it with petrol (that I will be carrying). Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Or do I have to carry enough fuel from Turkmen to get me across to Tajikistan???

Are you talking about benzin or diesel?

You writing bike, so I think it is benzin.

And this you get mostly only on the black market, with 80 oktane.

in 2018 we found 1 Gas station wich had benzin and it as also 80.

And Usbekistan is in central Asia, so usually you will find more benzin treads there

We were in Uzbekistan a few months ago and getting fuel was fine at normal petrol stations. As Klaus wrote already, it's usually 80 octane only, but be prepared of parts with around 400 kilometers without petrol stations. Our bikes were fine with the 80 octane fuel, but I heard of other bikers having problems with their fuel filters.

Well it depends, from Beyneu ( KZ ) to Nukus usually you have no regular fuel station, thats about 550km with no fuel.

I have been in Usbekistan 3 times now, and sometimes you find a fuel station, but next time it does not exist anymore.
Every time I have been there I found only 1 regular gas station.

Usually it is not a problem to get benzin if you ask around in small cafes at the street.

Except the part around Tashkent and Fergana to Kirgistan.
There it was easier

You're right - that was the distance I was talking about, as well. But last year there must have been a petrol station in between, because we cannot drive 530 km. You should also be able to get fuel directly at the border. There is a truck stop with restaurant and also a little village.
