Age limit for riding in China

Does anyone know if there is an age restriction for riding in China? I am 71 and have heard there is an age restriction of 70 for cars but maybe it is possible to get a temporary licence ... I just don't know and am having trouble finding out the truth. It would be a real shame if I'm too old!

Well ~ Shanghai implemented some years ago the annual medical checks for China driving license holders reaching the age of 60 (cars / bikes).
Some of my more mature and wiser mates (foreigners) based, living and residing in Shanghai (resident permits / Z Visa issued in Shanghai municipality) have a small print (chinese wording) in the China driving license to change over to car license only before or latest on the 70th. birthday.

Pretty sure you will hear all the talk about using "expert" China visa / driving license agents and no problem but most are full of.... nuff said'....

Not quite sure what you're saying...are you saying there is an age limit for foreigners or not? If so, I'm stuffed as I'm 71. Can you confirm?

70 is cut off age for China motorcycle driving license (foreigner) and a annual medical check has to be completed once a foreigner turns 60 (car & bike driving license). Actually, just happen to two mates (Europe) turning 70 going for a China driving license renewal in Shanghai, they had the China motorcycle endorsement (D) removed from the China driving license and hold only the car license (C1) now. Both don't care as they spent most time overseas now anyways and sold the bikes they owned in China last year...

Quite sure the China "experts" / "advisors" and dodgy visa agents will say otherwise and try to sell you a fake license for a rather large sum.... be warned ~ nuff said'....
