Shouls anyone feel spoken to they can mail or corrispond here. Cheers Eddie |
Benzin was about 30 Rubel / Liter ( ca 65 Cent )
Motels ( Gostinizas ) per person between 450 Rubel and 1500 Rubel I did it alone, it was wonderful, people are even more open to travelers alone I never felt unsafe. You need a visa, i would recommend to go to a visa agency ant let them do that. a bit more expensive but in my eyes worth it. I had my health insurance from the automotive club, in your Case the ADAC Worked perfekt and was cheap. |
I plan to be in Russia next summer, probably from mid June, heading from Finland down to Tajikistan, as long as I get my visa. If we are in the same area maybe we could meet up?

Americans can now get a 36 month multiple entry Visa. That and a lot of info is at Way to Russia Guide | waytorussia.net Dave

As for tips on cities to visit, it really depends on which route you plan to take. There's a whole lot of options to do it from Northern Germany.
You can ride through Poland and Baltic states, visit St.Petersburg, and then turn south towards Moscow. Or you can ride through Ukraine and start from Moscow and then whatever you want, and then return through St.Petersburg and Poland (or even through Finland and around Baltic sea, and/or take a ferry home). If you want to venture further south or east than the generic european part if the country, there are even more options :) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk |
