US Visa requirements
 

Hi all,

I'm planning on starting a trip in Seattle, going to Alaska, then back through Canada, US and down to Mexico (then on down to Argentina) in August.

I plan on being in the States for maybe 6 weeks total, and was planning (as a Brit) on using the standard 3 month visa waiver.

However I've recently read that a tourist visa may be required, as I won't have a return ticket or "onward journey" ticket. I'm going to call the US embassy to check, but does anyone have any experience of this?

I cannot really help other than to say that when I also went over there in 2006, my stay was for three months, or 93 days exactly. I only discovered at the last minute that 'over 90 days' required a visa but fortunately I got one in time, but not after a bit of hassle.
