TAT-lite or TAT-like options
 

So, I'm leaving on my Central/South America trip this summer/fall. Initially, I had planned to do the TAT before leaving on the Americas trip. A friend wanted to join but he has limited time (he probably can spare 3 total weeks). So, I'm considering a shorter or more local alternative. I just don't know any.

Are there any good TAT-like rides in the NE part of the US or Canada? By TAT-like, I mean limited asphalt, camping friendly, etc.

In Canada you can ride coast to coast on the TCAT or pick a section at a time as it is quite long: Gravel Travel Canada - Gravel Travel Canada

Nice. That might fit the bill. I also see some good alternatives like the Swisha Loop and the True North East.
