Help with the TAT

Hello,
I am looking to ride the TAT for the first time in August from Sacramento, CA to Chattanooga, TN. I understand that the trail is supposed to be ridden from East to West, but i am curios if anyone has done it the other way.
I hope this is the correct forum for this kind of question.

P.S. If you are seriously interested in taking the trip with me, Feel free to reply and i'll contact you personally.

Have a great day.

Hi maytyler95,
it is a bit difficult to give you a short good answer to your question. I have done the TAT from East to West and part of the LA section West to East as well as the 'new' TAT Section from Oregon to Utah.
A very good source for this trip is the ADV Rider homepage and the 'gpsKevin' one. The inital TAT was created by Sam who sells also the tracks.
If you want to follow gpsKevin's track than there are some caution needed for difficulty level in the LA Section. Sometimes the 'blue' (=normal level) is very hard and not doable with a big bike unless you are an expert rider.
I suggest that you dig a bit into the tracks and find what route you want to do.
Let me know if you have any particular questions.

Maytyler95,

How did the trip go? I am about to do my second section of it.

(Also, Trying to find a way to contact members to visit/ride with while traveling... riding TAT solo, but I do tend to make friends as I go... rarely end up riding the trails alone.)

There is a Facebook group which can be pretty useful, as people tend to update their current rides with any issues/diversions etc. and you could probably arrange to join with other riders en route there:

And also this one which is more general:
