cbr 125 winter driving - pics and video
Well I finally put dirt bike tires and ice studs on my 2008 cbr 125r and I've been using it this winter for about a week now. While it works great, I have to be very careful of other people on the street as they don't expect to see a bike out.
I have decided to ship this bike over to Europe for the 2011 Budapest to Bamako rally instead of buying a bigger bike over there. I've talked to a few bike shops here in Regina, and they think that they may be interested in sponsoring me. Nothing major yet, only possibly a tire sponsorship, and maybe a parts sponsorship to help me get the bike ready for the race. The reason I would take it is everybody I have talked to says its impossible, so I think I have no other choice now but to try it. How does the idea of contacting Honda directly and getting some sort of sponsor through them. I think people under-estimate the 125's capability, so maybe I could help advertise its capability? Anybody have any suggestions, comments? Here is a video of me testing out the new tires on my way to school: YouTube - CBR 125 CBR125 R winter driving 2 And here are some pictures. I had a blast driving this thing. Ended up crashing 3 times that day in waist deep snow drifts beside the highway. http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...PICT0009-1.jpg http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...n/PICT0016.jpg http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...n/PICT0028.jpg http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...n/PICT0023.jpg http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...n/PICT0032.jpg |
