Canadian Motel Accomodations
 
My wife and I are coming up to Edmonton and across to the Maritimes the summer of 2003. We'd prefer not to camp on this trip, but will if necessary. How is the availability of $30-$40 (or less) motels across Canada?

You will be hard pressed to find motels anywhere across Canada for less than $50 Canadian during the summer months. On average most places charge around $60. (About $40 USD). Plus the usual taxes.
Of course this figure will be higher by as much as 100% in cities or touristy areas.
