Who´s around in Morocco this Dec/Jan?

I´m planning on taking a ferry this monday (being the 14th december) from algeciras to cueta (currently in south of spain). I am expecting to be there from six weeks to two months on my 25 year old CG125! It´s older than me! Would be great to meet up with anyone else who´s about as am travelling on my own. I´m keen to do any (most) routes but will most likley be slower than most, though happy to catch up at the evening destination! I´m planning on staying in accomodation in the evenings as dont have full camping kit, enough to stay out in an emergency only.

Would be more than keen to go along with 4x4´s, bikes, expeditions, camels you name it. Also looking for somewhere to volunteer/contribute my time and effort along the way if I can.

Was wondering who will be about and is keen to meet up?

Cheers

Henry

Ariving 31st Dec

Hi

4 of us (2 couples, 2 up) are hoping to get to Morocco for the evening of the 31st for 2 weeks. Maybe see you around on the road. We are Honda (not sure exactly), and Yamaha XTZ660. We will be heading to Riff Mountains, then over the top to try some of the pistes before heading to Marakesh for the 14th to put my wife on a flight home before I continue south. We also will not be camping.

In true modern travel tradition - this is the blog:

I was a bit worried about the anticipated average speeds in your blog, Andy, until I realised they were in kph!

You're obviously a planner (like me) so I enjoyed reading your packing list. You could maybe do with Optrex or similar for eyes. Also you might well get cracks in your fingers riding long distances in winter, so some heavy duty cream.

Morocco (and Spain) can be really cold so the other thing I would suggest is some fleecy thermal underwear which of course can be used at night time if necessary as well as during the day.

Complete your Moroccan temporary import form before you leave.

I'll be following your blog with interest as I shall be taking my Tenere down to Morocco in February.

I'd love to meet up with you in the new year if you are back in southern Spain?
