Toyota h62
 

I'm thinking of buying a Toyota Landcruiser, for sahara overlanding. I'm trying to find a HJ61, but they seem to be very difficult to find, so I'm cosidering a 62 or 80's series. which one will you recomend and is the 62 fitted with a turbo or just and straigh engine?.

As far as I know the 62 is just a 61 but with 4 rectangular headlights instead of two round ones like the 61 and 60s.
61s are rare - unknown in fact in the UK (look in France) - although I'm selling my desert-ready 61 in a month.
80s are much more modern, comfy and quieter, but a bit more complicated and a bit less economical than a 61. And not hard to find in the UK.

You're in luck Chris, the 61 comes with a baby seat, nappy dispenser and Thomas the Tank Engine decals. AND 30 gals of DERV.

Thanks for your answers, but I still don't know if the 62 is a 4000 cc 6cilinders with a turbo or not, and does it share the same mpg as the 61 or its more expensive to run?

A 62 is a 4000 cc 6 cilinders with a turbo - same mpg and everything as a 61, except lights.
I want £6000/9500 euro for mine.
