Tire change before entering Africa
 

I will be traveling down the west coast of Africa soon, can anyone recommend a good place to buy/change the tires for my R1150GSAdv in southern Spain/Portugal before I cross over to Morocco? Thanks Mike

I've had 3 new sets of tyres on 2 bikes done here. Bit pricey on fitting - 25 euros per tyre, but that includes fitting, balancing and inflating with nitrogen. They also adjusted the chain on my bike at no extra cost last time I went in for new tyres.

Oscar is a good fitter. They don't speak any English. If you need help, give me a shout.

I took my tyres with me to the south of Spain and had them swapped by Eddy from Quick Fit in Gibraltar.. Good bloke but I would recommend not to rely on the availability of tyres. A set of knobblies on the back of the bike for motorway riding isn't too much of a hassle.
You can find quick fit when you go left on the first roundabout when entering Gibraltar (right after customs). You'll be served in perfect English and Eddy's a nice guy to chat with.
It's also very close to the Algeciras ferries.
