Sudan Visas in Cairo for US citizens
 

Hello there,
My husband and I are currently in Cairo working on getting our visas for Sudan. We leave on a four month overland tour of Africa in a week and a half. Sudan's Embassy told us that they do not issue visas to US citizens anywhere in Egypt. Has anyone had any experiences with this, or any suggestions on how to make it happen?

You could try Aswan. Others report it as being more laid back (and cheaper) than Cairo.
