Shipping motorhome to Alexandria
 

Hi,
For roro shipping, I am getting mixed messages about the normal personal effects in the motorhome. I can secure them invisible and locked in the back.
Is that allowed at my risk?

For Alexandria to Piraeus, October 2018 with neptune lines NOTHING was allowed in the vehicle, not even a spare tyre! They even told us they weren't going to load the vehicle.
Definitely allowed with Grimaldi, at your own risk.

So you had to empty the vehicle and throw everything away?

It's certainly what they threatened for 5 hours.
Following 2 long conversations my husband had with them on the Greek side the same day we were them able to send some photos of the interior and say it was just spare parts etc (but in reality was much more personal stuff), they finally gave us a waiver form to sign and said they would never offer it to anyone else and 2 weeks previously they had offloaded a larger german vehicle.
If I was doing it again i would just use Grimaldi.

i'm planning to use roro Grimaldi in november to ship my Laro from Piraeus to Alexandria.

edit: changed plans. doing south america trip first.
