I see that the Sahara series with Michael Pailin starts on BBC1 this coming Sunday at 7pm - hope it has more depth to it than the lightweight interview he gave on the BBC1 Breakfast programme earlier this week - not much substance in his replies to questions posed, just generalisations and he did not seem able to recall the Fulani or Peulh people by name. By the way am I one of the few who has enjoyed the Ray Mears series, currently being repeated on BBC2, despite his obsession with fire-lighting??
