Rainy Algeria
 

Hi,
to all of you who want to travel to Algerian Sahara in the next weeks: extremely heavy rainfalls between 2 and 12 October damaged or destroyed a lot of pistes and lots of oueds and sekkhas were flooded thus presenting serious obstacles in the next weeks until dry again.

The piste from Hirhafok to Assekrem is called to be destroyed.
The Tarmac between Tam and In Salah had been destroyed at several places, e.g. 80km south of IS and at Arak and probably need some time to be fully repaired. The "road" is open again now.
To give you an idea: on 4x4 team needed 9 days to "fight" their way through from Illizi to In Ekker!

So check your itineraies and be prepared to changes.
