Present situation in Mori
Hi,
Does anybody know if Mori is safe now? I'm in Morocco and thinking about short jump into Mori for a week. I trawel with wife and small son. Second question is : is it necessary to have the yellow fever vaccination and to take the pils against malaria if we go only upto Atar and around? I'll be grateful for quick answer :) :helpsmilie: br, Piotr |
It depends what you plan to do and what you personally define as 'safe'. As always it is prudent to take precautions, continually assess and be discrete.
My biggest worry, if traveling with a child, would be that it is a long – and at this time of year, hot journey from S. Maroc. There is a lot of transit and a slow border crossing. To answer your second question, Atar is out of the malarial zone and there is no need for a yellow fever vaccination. |
Hi Piotr.
Could you put up a quick post here about how you got on at the Mauri border re visa and so on. Best of luck. Thanks Kevin |
Hi Piotr,
Was there this summer and it was for us ok whitout any vacination. They didn´t require any to enter the country. In general I don´t know the safety situation. In Nouadbidou we ran into a Sweed who lives there since early nintees and according to him it had been several "honor killings" in that town this year. |
