Is it advisable to put teflon aditive (additament) into motoroil(Renault 4).
Should we put antifreeze out of the cooling system and add only water.

I would be wary of trying ANYTHING new on the trip (critical equipment at least), so, if you have used the additive in the past and it seemed to work well then fine. If not, then probably best not to bother. The standard modern oils will already be more advanced than the engine of a R4 is needing.

Keep your coolant! It is a good idea to drain the cooling system completely, put in new water and coolant (to the correct ratio - as on the bottle!). You want to keep the engine as cool as possible (particularly in July). If you are thinking about using it for drinking water then take extra water to the same quantity and hopefully you won't need it!
