Nouakchott - Nema - Nara
 

hi,

i'm planning to go to Burkina overland next year. Since you can no longer enter in Senegal easily without a carnet, and i'd like leave my car there, i'm forced to go from Mauri to Mali. Can anyone tell what to expect on the road from Nouakchott - Nema - Nara? In what state is it, and how many days should i count from Noua. until Nara?

Last november, coming from Tidjikia/Tichit/Oualata, we do the road Nema/Nouakchott. Our experience :Oualata/Ayoun el Atrous one day (but we stop in Nema some hours); Ayoun/Aleg one day; Aleg/Nouakchott 1/2 day.
Road (all asphalt)with some holes but not so bad.If you drive in the night, ATTENTION at the camels and other animals.
Camping/rooms in Ayoun- Saada Tenzah Camping (very good); camping - Auberge de Lac - after Aleg, near the lake and petrol station .
