Marseilles - Sfax ferry, anyone used it?

Looking for info on costs, timings, experiences - doesn't seem to be bookable online but would bypass the bulk of the drive south....

We were looking at the Genoa - Tangier crossing.

Pricing @ 11 L/100km - and for a standard cabin - the costs/time of driving down to Spain or to Genoa and then ferry - were about the same.

However, the food is apparently very over-priced on the ferry - so take some of your own, and the entertainment is limited - so have a full iPod and enough books.

For us - Zurich - Algericacs (sp) is about 2200km - to Genoa it is 400km. With 3000km to be driven around Morocco - the thought of saving 3600km just getting there is quite appealing.

The food on Comanav is included in the price of the ticket, but drinks from the bar are not & are over priced in euros (in comparison to Moroccan prices)
