Libya - Visas for Motorcyclists (or lack of)
 

Just had confirmation of something I feared, but hadn't been informed about until now: that motorcylists have a &^%$£* hard time obtaining visas for Libya.

Because of standard Libyan tour policy these days no travel/tour group seems willing to help those motorcyclists amongst us.

The tour groups insist that bikers get a guide.... how they are supposed to stick a guide perched on the back of a motorcycle is anybodys guess!

Complete and utter bunkum!

It seems the only option is to join(to pretend for the authorities, in paper only)a convoy of 4wd vehicles to get into Libya

I have two very unhappy people who are having great difficulty in getting their visas, I really thought I could help them out because I was told there wasn't going to be a problem.... now this happens!

I'm so sorry guys!

Visas for those UK citizens with vehicles is still very much an option, so don't give up just yet!
