Leaving Egypt, Port Said
 

We are now in Port Said, and it is an absolute nightmare.

Can anyone please confirm that your Carnet gets stamped WHEN YOU DRIVE ONTO THE FERRY?

They stamped the back of the slip now, for unknown reasons, and will only stamp the carnets when we actually drive onto the boat.
We feel very uncomfortable about this, as we've spent 3 days at customs already; the vehicles are already in a customs compound, plates taken off, VIN checked etc.

Any experiences from the last weeks welcome; we hope to get on the ferry tonight.
