June Mauritania to Morocco crossing
I've been thinking about going overland using public transport and hitching from Mauritania to Morocco, departing Nouakchott mid-late June. I've seen that the Sahara-Overland.com does not recommend sahara crosings during the summer. Is the heat going to be too unbearable at that time of year, even on the coastal route? And what about it I went via Atar? How diffuicult will it be to find rides at that time of year? What can I expect to pay until Dakhla? How much water and food should I bring and how accessible is clean water at stops along the way? Any tips/warnings would be appreciated.

>Is the heat going to be too unbearable at that time of year?
It will be hot and miserable. > And what about it I went via Atar? Even hotter, I would guess >How diffuicult will it be to find rides at that time of year? There will be few or no tourists but you can spot the Moris by their pointy teeth and the fin on their backs... >What can I expect to pay until Dakhla? More than you expect, it wont be cheap. >How much water and food should I bring Food you can get, water, up to 10 litres per day >and how accessible is clean water at stops along the way? Like RotW, they have it in bottles. >Any tips/warnings would be appreciated. Why torture yourself?
