Hi Luuk, If you visit Israel, plan on getting a stamp from this country. Also, compared to Africa, these folks are very unfriendly. Having an Israeli stamp going in to Jordan or Egypt is "no problem." Don't ask for a Sudanese visa with an Israeli stamp in your passport. Have fun, H.

i wil have a sudanese visum before leaving holland. seemd better then spending 6 weeks in cairo. so i'm just worried about borderguards seeing the entry stamps. thanks for the info

Luuk, I entered Sudan from the south. The border guards there scrutinized EVERY page of my expanded passport (In Buenos Aires I had the US embassy add 26 pages). I'm not sure if they were curious or thorough, but they really did check it. If I were you I'd research this more. It would really suck to arrive at a border in Egypt or Sudan and be turned back- your options would be few, and ugly. Having an Israeli stamp in your passport is a real stain in these parts. Also, I met southbound riders who got their Sudanese visas in a few hours in Cairo. Cairo is widely considered the best place to get said visa. Good luck, H.

Luuk

Visit Israel.. Tel Aviv is a great party town..
Israeli's like straight talk.
Just tell them you dont want a stamp and tell them why and they wont stamp it but will stamp a seperate page instead.

Be prepared for intensive almost agressive questioning, its just the way there and they are only trying to make sure you're not carrying a bomb.
You will actually find them very friendly when you get in on the system.

I'll be finidhing my trip from cape town there on the 5th August ... I hope :)
