How to get to Mali?
 

I'm planning to go from Europe to Mali by overland means in the next few months. At the moment, I'm considering to travel to the south of algeria and cross to mali through the mokhtar border crossing. I'm hoping this can be done by public transportation, taxis, trucks, etc but I would like to know how feasible/safe it is and to whether this is the best route to get to Mali from Europe. Thank You.

safety is no concearn as far as I know, but it will difficult to travel without a guide through Algeria. If traveling low budget, better take the Western Sahara route, if you would appreciate to have an interesting insight into Algeria go via Algeria.
Thats my 5 cents worth opinion.
