Guide Compulsory on Hoggar Route?
 

Currently considering another trip and was wondering if the 'compulsory guide' rule applied from Tam to Arlit. Do they leave you at In-Geuzzam? What sort of price if the guide travels in your car?

Hi Ian,
unfortunately it's true, you can't enter DZ at Ain Guezzam without a guide and you are not allowed to travel without one even from Tam to Ain Guezzam.
The guide will leave you at the border.

Price is about 50-75 € a day for the guide in your car depening the agency.
