From mauritania to Morocco, with "public transport"

Hi,
Around 20 October we (2 dutch guys) are planning to travel from Nouadhibou to Dakhla. We don't have a car and rely on public transport or hitch hiking. Does anybody know whom we should contact in Nouadhibou to arrange transport? And how much should this cost? Or is anybody planning to travel back with his own car and doesn't mind some company for this part of the trip!!! Let us please know!!!
Thanks,

There are bush taxis going to and from Nouadhibou to Nouachout each day. They are Landcrusier pick ups which do the journey in a day. Might be an interesting journey crammed into the back of the pick up which is traveling at speed for 10+ hours to do the journey but should be easy to do. Should be easy to get ongoing transport from there to Senegal.

Thanks for your answer, but I think there is a little misunderstanding. We are planning to travel from mali (or Senegal) to Mauritania and we are planning to travel from Mauritania northwards to western sahara and morocco...
Thanks,
Barry

Sorry, me being simple. I don't think there is any general transport such as bush taxis across into the Western sahara, this may have changed since they stopped the convoys, I haven't been across since then. Your best bet is probably to try and get transport with other travellers, try the campsites at at Noudibou if you haven't been able to arrange something in advance. There is probably transport from Dakla northwards, either bush taxis or probably coaches.

Hi !!!!

Since the border was re-opened (Northbound), there are a few bush-taxi (LandRover Series) doing Nouaddibou-Dackla and return .

Price was around 30-50 Euros -heavy bartering applies- .As usual , to book / hire / ask around tourist campings
(Camping ABBA being one of the most respected) .

Good luck .
