Ferry from Morocco.
 

Would anyone know if there´s a ferry from Morocco to Gran Canaria?The further south the better for shorter crossing and also to visit Morocco on way down.Gracios.

I have been following this on Lonely Planet. There is a ferry maybe once a month but it does not take passengers. It is only a cargo ferry. It hasn't sailed with passengers since the 80's.

You might get a berth on board but it is a long way about 700km. At least depending on where you sail from. might be better to go from Portugal - I understand there is a regular one once a week in the winter - again though - a long sail.

Thanks Andy for quick response and for info.The question was asked on behalf of a couple i´ve met on the campsite we´re stopping at in southern Spain.They wanted to go in their camper but weren´t sure if there was a crossing.So looks like they´ll be flying to the islands for a couple of weeks to tie up some business and maybe i´ll look after their van while they´re away.It´ll make a change from the tent and their stove boils quicker than mine,handy in the morning when i´m gagging forra brew.Cheerz mate...adios.
