Ferry booking
 

Is it really necessary to book a ferry from Genoa to Tunis?. Does anyone know if it is possibble to buy a ticket in Genoa just before leaving? I'm going to Tunisia with a bike in April but dont know exactly when.

You're okay just turning up, particularly with just a bike.

You might pay a fraction less in advance (there and then they know they have you!) - but even that's not sure.

BUT be VERY sure you're not travelling at start/end of holidays (French/Italian/Tunisian/German etc. etc.) - the ferries are COMPLETELY packed at the pressure times of the year, and even one person and bike might be difficult.
