Egypt - Western Desert - Siwa - Bahariya and then the other Oasis
 

Hi all,
Im shortly headed for egypt and am back peering at my map for the country. Is the current security situation such that Ill not be permitted to cross from Siwa to Bahariya and onto the other Oasis or is it possible?

Hi Jordan,

I'm in Alexandria and will attempt to do this in about 5 or 6 days. My information is that it will be a matter of luck whether I get through the checkpoints after Siwa. Officially the roads are closed. Check in with me on guyfixsen@gmail.com if you like for an update.

No it's not open. Jordan tried the road and ended up in prison for 30 hours..!
