Egypt - Sudan Border
 

There seems to be quite a bit of 'chat' around on various bulletin boards suggesting that it might soon be possible to cross from Egypt to Sudan via a land border, thereby avoiding the Aswan - Wadi Halfa cement boat shenanigins. Has anyone any confirmations or updates on this?

We are currently in Tunisia but will be crossing Libya into Egypt and down to Sudan. We are currently thinking of the boat but if the road is open then good. Well see when we get there and let you know.

I just looked at your website - very neat and the tracking gizmo is even more impressive. Is it there so your employers can make sure that you're really doing the trip and not sitting in a bar somewhere?
