* How many days to do this ( directly )?
* What beautiful spots ( on main tracks and close to it ) ?
* How difficult is it ?
* I must have Gasoil for how much kilometers to go ( directly via Amguid )to Hassi Bel Guebbour ?
* Is there Gasoil in Zaouentallaz ?

Please , give me some informations about track beetween Zaouentallaz and Amguid:

I did this track in December - it is the old truck piste to Djanet and not very interesting IMHO, compared to say, route Route A9 via the Amadror cutting through the Tourha range (from where you can go north past Garet and on to Amguid.

* How many days to do this ( directly )?
Zou to Amguid 2 easy days.

* What beautiful spots ( on main tracks and close to it ) ?
None really - Tiodane Erg/north Amadror was a bit disappointing but the rough section from there onto Amguid valley is OK - esp if you go north off the piste up to the Tassili

* How difficult is it ?
Easy in a 4x4

* I must have Gasoil for how much kilometers to go ( directly via Amguid )to Hassi Bel Guebbour ?
Work it out off the 953/741map ;-)

* Is there Gasoil in Zaouentallaz ?
Yes
Thanks for your responses ( and may be some GPS points ? )
We did it without GPS - no problem

bonne route

I'm sorry but I've seen some picture of Erg Thiodaine and especially beetween this erg and Tin Haberti : very fantastic !!

1. But I don't how to go there : Is it possible to make a round trip around erg Thiodaine ?
How many kilometers ? Do you have GPS points ?

2. Another great place I've seen ( only photos ! ) is the Afara plain : How is it possible to get there when you're on Djanet - Illizi road ? And especially do you know the waypoint on this road where the track going to Zaouatenlaz-Aguid track ( via Afara ) begins ?

3. Is it posssible to go from Afara plain to erg Thiodaine directly ? Did somebody make this trip ?

Thanks for your answers ?

>yes, I think the north side must be more impressive, pushed against the Tassili

1. But I don't how to go there : Is it possible to make a round trip around erg Thiodaine ?
>I think the north side is difficult sand against the erg, but it has been done - even through the middle!

How many kilometers ? Do you have GPS points ?
>Dont know - no

2. Another great place I've seen ( only photos ! ) is the Afara plain : How is it possible to get there when you're on Djanet - Illizi road ?

>Very easy - there is a big junction for Afara - it is on the 953 map - very easy to find - before Iherir turn off

And especially do you know the waypoint on this road where the track going to Zaouatenlaz-Aguid track ( via Afara ) begins ?
>It is north of 24 40.24 - 7 39.01 but it is a very rough basalt track (easy to follow). Better to come to Afara (very nice region indeed - see my December trip report in S-Files) off the Fadnoun tarmac road but some very rocky descents. From there you can go all the way to Tamadjert and so Tin Haberti and Erg Tio.

3. Is it posssible to go from Afara plain to erg Thiodaine directly ? Did somebody make this trip ?
>I'm sure,but not me (yet).

Actually I just checked my book - first point near the Zou-Amguid track is on an easy to miss cross roads at 24 40.25 7 39.02. I build a small white-topped pile of stones (balise) there to mark it.
The next point is about 6km to the north - the base of a sandy hill where the track goes up: 24 44 .09 7 39.47.
From here the track is very clear (and all stony) - 92km to the Afara turn off junction on the Izi-Dja asphalt road.
Or 67km to a junction on the Afara plain (25 13.08 7 54.44) for Tamajert to the NW.

bonne route.
