Camping south of the Atlas Mountains.
 

Hi there.
Can anyone recommend some campsites in this region please? Especially around the area between ErRachidia and Ourzazate. Also south of both of these places please.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are plenty of campsites at Tenerhir, but from our experience, having just come back from the area, the best thing to do is to ask anyone (many people speak French) where you can camp and they are likely to say with them :-)
Berber hospitality is great and they would probably say that they would not make a charge as such, but as a camp site would charge 40 dirhamns (£2.50)and that was for a Land Rover with roof tent and 2 people, I would suggest that a 50 dirham note would be greatly appreciated.

There is camping at Dades Gorge which is situated opposite the hotel where you pay for the pitch the grond is hard which mkes it difficult for tent pegs, you can use the hotel showers. Camping is available at the Nomad Palace near Erg Chebbi Dunes which also has showers. Zagora has a camp site if you are going that far. Imichil has a campsite nearby which is next to a lake the site is on the road between Midelt & Errachidia. Meknes on the way down to the Atlas mountains has good campsite inside the palace grounds. There is a good place to stop heading back from the mountains which is a hotel but you can camp in their grounds I will try to send you their website by email.
