Boat to Tripoli?
 

Hello,


I want to go to Libya, but not to Tunisia.
Is there an alternative to taking the boat to Tunis?
Anybody know of any ferry operating between Tripoli and Sicily or the South of Italy (or anywhere in Europe)?

Any answer highly appreciated.

Years and years ago when I lived in Tripoli ('78-'81), there was a ferry service from Malta. It only ran in the summer months, BTW, and I have no idea whether it still operates or not.
