anyone going to mauritania from morocco soon?
 

Hey - my girlfriend and I are currently in Morocco, in Inezgane today and heading South to Tiznit, Mirleft and then through Western Sahara. We are aiming to cross over the border into Mauritania within a couple of weeks. Just wondering if anyone is doing something similar? We are backpacking and are looking for ways to get from Dakhla to the border - if anyone is heading down, we'd love to share a ride and share the costs involved.

Done the same, two suggestions -

1. Stand at the police barrage in Dahkla, make friends with the police who will help you out (the last post about 300m towards town from the campsite. They will help you ask foreigners going south ...

2. Opposite the police post are a few vans that leave in the morning, I paid 250DH 3 years ago; think the 'correct' price for a place in the back is around 300DH now ...
