Do they have ice-creams in Tam at this time of year? I asked at Christmas and they said not until the summer. Too hot for me ... would have to stay inside all day! What are the flies like in summer?

Sorry I didn't answer when in DZ. But yes they have ice-cereams. Plenty of it. I ate only once, dont remember price. Well there happened so many things and events that I could write a book, but there was some things now I must admit you guys were absolutelly right about. I.e from that discussion about the water. I also admit algeria is nothing like Moroco of Tunisia if it comes about tepmeratures. In summer in el-golea or in salah it is a true hell. But not in al Hoggar.
Flies ? Something like mosquitos right ? I say they are very undecided if compared to those in Poland :) Finally I didn't reach Djanet. And I wasn't from Niger, so don't know about the border, I was just standing on the road out of Tam to the south. Soon maeybe I make some page about it.
