video map drawing

not really sure what i am asking for. but does anyone know a good website/program that you can draw maps for use on video. its from ghana down to cape town, so i would like it to draw the map that i can splice into my video. ideally something zoomed into the region so that there is some detail then follows the route down to SA.
does this exist??

oh yeah. and my video editor can do screen capture. so i just need it to show on my computer screen

Google Earth maybe?
