Vegan / Vegetarian .gpx POI files
 

Hi All,

Does anyone know somewhere that I can download .gpx POI files for locations of vegan / vegetarian restaurants or food shops?

I'm specifically looking for UK, France, Spain, Andorra and Portugal, but any and all files globally would be useful for others wanting this info and for future trips.

(Sorry if this has already been asked. I did a search, but nothing came up)

I'm Vegan. I could certainly offer some suggestions for some of France and quite a lot of the U.K.! I've really struggled in Spain. I think being Veggie of either flavour is a four letter word!

Since having travelled to Morocco (and having eaten far better than ANYWHERE else I've travelled!), I tend to search out those restaraunts that offer tagines. Vegetable tagines are wonderful, healthy and can be found in many places.

If anyone's in the UK, and in or around York, there's a little place in the city centre called El Piano that offers GREAT food!

I've just downloaded the .gpx file from POI factory, and will upload and have a rummage tonight. Thanks Bertrand.


And thanks for the offer Endurodude. We (me and the wife) are travelling north to south through France, via Toulouse(ish), up into the Pyranees and into Andorra, then turning right to follow the Pyranees into Spain, down into Portugal, then back up to Bilbao for the ferry home. If you know of any good places along that loose kinda route (or somewhere worthy of a deviation) then please let me know.

Don't know if you know of the app Happycow? Brings up list of all Vegan/vegetarian restaurants nearby. You can search ahead too. I use it everywhere i go, Very handy for us plant eaters :thumbup1:
