relays explained

This may not be the right place to post this so please move if necessary

This appeared after a google and answered all my question about relays.

I bought one from Maplins but had no idea which pins did what as the vague sketch on top of the unit bears no relation to the pins sticking out the other end. This pdf explains it all

Relays are relays no matter what is using them

That's a good find Alan - a useful explanation indeed.
It probably should be in the bike tech bit over there on the left hand side, at the bottom of the page.
I have posted a few things in the past for which it has not been obvious where they should be located - obviously not GPS etc however!
I have usually ended up in the "other bike tech" forum, but even that is not the full answer: I think Grant has agreed in the past that there is scope in this website for technical information to be collated that is not bike specific.
This applies to so many questions that are asked and answered continually for Yams, Hondas, Beemers etc etc etc, when, in fact, the question is generic to all/most bikes if not cars, trucks etc.
