GPS in Russia
 

Hi,

After reading in Lonely Planet that GPS is illegal in Russia (up there with Guns and Drugs!) I went and posted mine home only to see them for sale in Moscow (Garmin IQUE3600 and handheld Garmin GPS units also). In the end I should have hidden it under my seat as they didnt even check our luggage both on entering or leaving Russia although after being at the border for two hours they were probably glad to get rid of us!
