Community contributions to T4A Database

I recently posted an article to our travel blog about how the overland community can contribute and improve the Tracks for Africa database

In summary the GPS maps they produce are community built and use real track and way point data from people who have traveled the routes we all discuss in the Africa forums.

We (personally) have found them to be very useful but lacking in detail for West and Central Africa (no surprise there) but this is improving all the time as more overlanders send their data to T4A, the last release had over 1000 new way points for Angola for example.

So in summary - think about saving all your data from your trip and send it to T4A as it will help those that follow us.

Yeah but they charge for their maps (please correct me if i'm wrong).

Why not contribute to open street map instead, where everyone can download for free?

Why not do both if they desire?
