biker's 'pardon' in porcarot (porcaro?) brittany?

does anyone know anything about an annual religious festival held in a village in brittany (called, i think porcarot or porcaro which is nr ploermel) which the local priest has dedicated to bikers and which is attended by, perhaps, 2500-3000 bikers every august (maybe 15th-ish)?

after my recent post (see below) re events in france, i saw an old post of mine - and actually found my own answer - check out
http://madonedesmotards.ifrance.com/ for a fine-looking b9ike gathering in north-west france in august - there are upwards of 3000 bikes there i am told by a friend who has visited there. and you can get your bike blessed.

Necroposter

I just thought I'd drag this back up as it was sat in the "related threads" part of the nodding post. I went last year and it was fantastic, loads of bikers, from all over France and beyond (large Dutch contingent and a few Brits) all very relaxed and chilled, and a great chance to sit in a field and talk bikes.

And with the weak pound, there's fewer people coming to France so Brittany Ferries seem to be offering special discounts, hop on the boat from Portsmouth to St Malo and an hour further on and you're here.

I really did buy the tee shirt!

I went down with my son for a look see in 06... my camera went duff so I have no photos to show ... My memory is of lots of people really partying hard for the 3 days or so ...Dudes on sports bikes on the back wheel ,doughnuts etc... The police kinda let every one do what they wanted in the town but prowled around the outside ... The field where the festival is held is wild , people have v 8 engines bolted to trailers and are revving the nuts out of them all night... Bands playing , people chillin ... Its well worth the visit ! Go for it

Somclan are you Irish? With a yellow BMW 1200 GS?

Porcaro is a town of 500 inhabitants, a city biker Breton.
Even the local pub is called wheeling!

I go every year. Meeting nice, about 30,000 bikes last year.
Safety rules are more stringent since 2007, because of some accidents.
The population is very hospitable, and the endless ride on Sunday. 80 km procession.
