African twin celebrates it's 20 years in the North of France, 1-4 May

Hello everyone, I'm doing some promotion for ATOC. 2nd annual meeting the 1-4 may 2008, Outside of Lille (59) North of France. Celebrating the 20 years of the African Twin will be the highlight, offroading, and plenty of good times to be had.

Go here to sign up, or let them know you'll be attending, so they can get an estimate head count (beer i guess).

ATOC-Moto ยค Africa Twin & Transalp Owners Club

Looking for as many people to come along, the more the merrier.
Hope you like the idea.
Take care

Top!

An excellent w/end with a bunch of very friendly bikers, ATs and TAs. Great weather too. Right in the heart of WW1 battlefields. Only one other person from the UK there, to my surprise. I thought that the XRV people would be there to meet their French counterparts, but then, many of th XRV group dont really leave the UK for bike travel. A little bit timid of "abroad", maybe? XRV is good site for info, and I'm still there for that reason, but theyre not big on travel, which is fair enough I suppose. Travel could clash with their "Camping Challege" (!) events.

Anyway, a nice ATOC meet, and next year I think it's Brittany...

So, now that Yamaha have reintroduced the Tenere, how long is it till Honda reintroduce the Africa Twin?

Matt :)

There is no need to attack the XRV group just because you had some issues over there (you were banned as far as i know.. rightly or wrongly.. I dont know or care). Me and you have met and got along great as far as I knew. I am proud member of both forums.. I for one travel as far and as often as I can (it is really only money and hence work that slows me down). I for one (and am not judging any one who thinks otherwise) just did not feel that taking time off work for this particular meet was worth it, when I am leaving tomorrow for a 3 week tour of Romaina, and that would have ment a few days less on that trip. Please keep attacks like this off of the HUBB, we all have our own preferences and dislikes but when it comes to people, like just please keep it civil ..
Please.

What makes you think that?I for one have travelled through-out Europe and into Africa twice...even meeting a fellow XRV member on one trip.
